A good find at the Boothbay Memorial Library used bookstore in Boothbay Harbor, ME. Great condition and only $2. Inscription: Happy Fathers Day 1991. Boothbay is one of my favorite vacation spots and this particular shop usually has some good finds.
I love early autobiographies, especially from this era. It will be good to follow it up afterwards with the more recent Howard Bryant book, 'The Last Hero: A Life of Henry Aaron'.
Lonnie Wheeler has co-written some additional books with players (most notably Bob Gibson and Mike Piazza) and he has a new one coming out in August called Intangiball, which sounds compelling enough that you'll probably see it on this site later on down the line.
